Located 16 miles from I 90/94 and served by two state highways 23 and 33, Reedsburg is strategically located from a business perspective. The Reedsburg Municipal Airport, situated adjacent to the 255 acre Reedsburg Industrial Park, provides corporations with another convenient transportation option.

The local economy is extremely diverse with over thirty industrial firms thriving in a community that is aggressive in recruiting new businesses - while paying attention to the needs of existing firms. Agricultural, retail sales and service sectors of the economy are very strong.

Tourism is playing an increasing role in the Reedsburg economy. The 400 Trail, a 22-mile bike trail which links Reedsburg with trails that stretch as far northwest as Trempealeau, begins in downtown Reedsburg. Speaking of the downtown, this is one of many locations throughout the city where community pride is so evident. 

Madison Area Technical College in Reedsburg works actively with local businesses and industries to train productive employees by providing consulting assistance, continuing education in the classroom and on-site training. Webb High School sponsors a strong School-to-Work program. Both of these educational institutions contribute to a quality local workforce.
